The Liberty Minutemen basketball team scored 35 points and held the host Staunton River Golden Eagles to 29 in the Minutemen non-league win on Tuesday.

The Minutemen (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA). The Bishops go into the non-league outing with a 0-0 record.

The Golden Eagles now hold a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Jefferson Forest for a non-league outing on Wednesday, December 6. Staunton River will clash with a Cavaliers squad coming off a 39-35 non-league win over Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 1-1.
