West Bladen Knights (Bladenboro, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host East Bladen Eagles (Elizabethtown, NC), 28-25 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, West Bladen upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Knights travel to South Columbus (Tabor City, NC) to play the Stallions in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Stallions come into the bout with a record of 0-1. South Columbus lost 44-17 in their recent non-league bout against West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC)

Next up, the Eagles play the Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 6. East Bladen will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 51-37 non-league loss to Whiteville (Whiteville, NC).
