The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Lake City Tigers (Lake City, MN) and the visiting Pine Island Panthers (Pine Island, MN), observed Lake City's basketball team knock off Pine Island by a score of 66-51.

The Tigers (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Chatfield (Chatfield, MN). The Gophers come into the AA Section 1 challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Chatfield prevailed over St. Charles (St. Charles, MN), 66-20, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers encounter the Stewartville Tigers (Stewartville, MN) in a AAA Section 1 challenge, on Monday, December 9. Pine Island will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 67-36 league win over Zumbrota-Mazeppa (Zumbrota, MN).
