Texas High School Basketball - Patterson Institute succumbs to Mountain View

December 5, 2025: El Paso, TX 79938

In Friday's non-league test, the Mountain View Lobos (El Paso, TX) basketball squad defeated the visiting Patterson Institute Lions (El Paso, TX), by a tally of 42-30.

The Lobos now possess a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Austin for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 6. Mountain View will play a Panthers team coming off a 64-48 non-league win over Immanuel Christian (El Paso, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Patterson Institute falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Lions host Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM) to encounter the Desert Warriors in a non-league test on Saturday, December 6. The Desert Warriors come into the test with a record of 1-1. Santa Teresa lost 78-34 in their recent non-league test against Bel Air (El Paso, TX)
