Blue Mountain Cougars (Blue Mountain, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Byers Lions (Holly Springs, MS), 70-15 in a league bout.

With the win, Blue Mountain upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Hickory Flat (Hickory Flat, MS) to play the Rebels in a 1A Region 3 bout on Friday, December 9. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 10-2.

Next up, the Lions play the Rosa Fort Lions (Tunica, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Byers will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 50-25 non-league loss to Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS).
