Blue Mountain Cougars (Blue Mountain, MS) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Byers Lions (Holly Springs, MS), 43-0 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Blue Mountain upgrades its record to 20-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Hickory Flat (Hickory Flat, MS) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 15-8. Hickory Flat won 45-28 in their recent non-league bout against Myrtle (Myrtle, MS)

Next up, the Lions play the Biggersville Lions (Corinth, MS) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 13. Byers will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 21-5 record after their 67-38 non-league win over Jumpertown (Booneville, MS).
