In Friday's league contest, the visiting Newton Cardinals basketball team scored a close 62-56 triumph over the Indianola Indians.
The Cardinals (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Dallas Center-Grimes (Dallas Center, IA). The Mustangs go into the Little Hawkeye contest with a 0-2 record.
In their next game, the Indians confront the Ames Little Cyclones (Ames, IA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 12. Indianola will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
