The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Plainfield East Bengals (Plainfield, IL) and the visiting Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL), observed Plainfield East's basketball team overwhelm Joliet Central by a score of 61-26.

The Bengals (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Plainfield South (Plainfield, IL). The Cougars go into the SouthWest Prairie bout with a 5-1 record. In their last bout, Plainfield South was ripped by Joliet West (Joliet, IL), 63-35, in a league bout.

With the loss, Joliet Central falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Steelmen travel to Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL) to play the Blazing Trojan in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 7. The Blazing Trojan go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Bloom lost 69-52 in their recent non-league game against Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL)
