The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the La Pine Hawks (La Pine, OR) and the visiting South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR), observed La Pine's basketball team overcome South Umpqua by a margin of 68-53.

The Hawks (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lost River (Merrill, OR). The Raiders come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Lost River dropped by Crosspoint Christian (Klamath Falls, OR), 44-40, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Lancers battle the Oakridge Warriors (Oakridge, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 7. South Umpqua will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 63-52 non-league win over McKenzie (Finn Rock, OR).
