North Carolina High School Basketball - Union Pines held off by Lee County

December 6, 2024: Cameron, NC 28326

In Friday's league test, the Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) basketball squad got by the host Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), by a score of 62-60.

Next, the Yellow Jackets encounter the Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) in a 3A/4A Sandhills test, on Tuesday, December 10. Lee County will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Bucks come into the test with a 4-3 record after their 55-46 league win over Scotland (Laurinburg, NC).

The Vikings (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Rams come into the non-league test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Purnell Swett held off A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC), 64-41, in a non-league test.
