Santa Teresa Desert Warriors (Santa Teresa, NM) backers went home thrilled Saturday as they saw their basketball team thwart the host Patterson Institute Lions (El Paso, TX), 47-36 in a non-league contest.

The Desert Warriors (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Socorro (El Paso, TX). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Socorro topped Irvin (El Paso, TX), 46-32, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Job Corps Titans (El Paso, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 9. Patterson Institute will attempt to better on its 4-5 season record. The Titans go into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 52-31 league loss to Rose of Sharon (El Paso, TX).
