Clearfield Bison (Clearfield, PA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers (Philipsburg, PA), 53-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Clearfield upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Bison travel to Punxsutawney (Punxsutawney, PA) to play the Chucks in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Chucks go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Punxsutawney lost 64-48 in their recent non-league bout against United (Armagh, PA)

Next up, the Mountaineers play the West Branch Warriors (Morrisdale, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Philipsburg-Osceola will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 52-34 non-league loss to Bald Eagle Area (Wingate, PA).
