Hiland Hawks (Berlin, OH) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Sandy Valley Cardinals (Magnolia, OH), 61-25 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hiland upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Patriots come into the bout with a record of 2-0. Wheeling Park won 55-54 in their recent non-league bout against North Allegheny (Wexford, PA)

Next up, the Cardinals play the East Canton Hornets (East Canton, OH) in a Inter-Valley bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Sandy Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record.
