Granville Central Panthers (Stem, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Falls Lake Firebirds (Creedmoor, NC), 55-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Granville Central upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Panthers host J.F. Webb (Oxford, NC) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 0-5. J.F. Webb lost 39-36 in their recent non-league bout against Warren County (Warrenton, NC)

Next up, the Firebirds play the Vance County Vipers (Henderson, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 15. Falls Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Vipers go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 45-36 non-league loss to Crossroads Christian (Henderson, NC).
