The Tempe Prep Knights (Tempe, AZ) basketball nipped the visiting Scottsdale Preparatory Academy Spartans (Scottsdale, AZ), 48-45 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Knights (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Rancho Solano Prep (Scottsdale, AZ). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 6-1 record. In their last test, Rancho Solano Prep got by Chandler Prep (Chandler, AZ), 64-44, in a non-league test.

The Spartans now own a 6-7 record. They play next when they host Heritage Academy for a non-league test on Saturday, December 9. Scottsdale Preparatory Academy will encounter a Heroes squad coming off a 60-30 non-league loss to Yuma Catholic (Yuma, AZ). The Heroes record now stands at 4-1.
