First Quarter

Legacy out scored the Spartans 16 to 8. The Spartans went 4 for 8 from the foul line. The Spartans self destructed with 8 self inflicted Turn Overs, & their failure to communicate & match up defensively, sealed their fate early.

Second Quarter

Legacy once again outscored the Spartans 8 to 5. As the Spartans went to their bench the Turnovers continued to increase as they had 11 for the 2nd Quarter. The Spartans once gain failed to box out & attack the glass. Marcus & Rashad had 3 fouls going into the half, which force Coach Shkorupa to play their bench players out of position which lead to a 24-13 half time deficit.

Third Quarter

Going into the 3rd Quarter Coach Shkorupa was forced to bench 2 of this 5 Starters(Marcus & Rashad) to protect them from getting their 4th foul each. 4 minutes into the the 3rd Period Legacy extended their lead from the lack of communication & lack of defense & rebounding by the Spartans, which lead to many second & third opportunities on the Offensive End for Legacy. The Spartans bench players were no existent & it was obvious that they were not in their regular positions, but once again the Spartans failed to protect the basketball, & Turnovers destroyed their chance of getting back into the game as they were outscored 21 to12 in the period.

Fourth Quarter

The Spartans showed moments of promise in the 4th Quarter offensively & actually had 8 assists in the final two quarters after only posting 2 in the entire first half. The Spartans were dominated by Freshman #21 M. Willicu who had 39 points for the game & 27 of those points came in the second half, mostly by hitting 12 foot shots that were not contested, in the middle of the key. The Spartans lack of communication, rebounding, turnovers, foul trouble due to reaching & selfish non-existent team defense by not stepping to the ball & helping, was the story of the game for their Home Opener in front of a crown of 46 people.
