Hackberry Mustangs (Hackberry, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pine Prairie Panthers (Pine Prairie, LA), 54-15 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Hackberry improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Highland Baptist Christian (New Iberia, LA) to play the Bears in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 8. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. Highland Baptist Christian won 40-24 in their recent non-league challenge against Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Plainview Hornets (Glenmora, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 8. Pine Prairie will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 59-42 non-league loss to Glenmora (Glenmora, LA).
