The Seneca Fighting Irish basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Roanoke-Benson Rockets to 39 in the Fighting Irish league victory on Thursday.

The Fighting Irish now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Annawan for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 9. Seneca will battle a Braves team coming off a 73-26 league win over ROWVA/Williamsfield (Oneida, IL). The Braves record now stands at 8-2.

The Rockets (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Knoxville (Knoxville, IL). The Blue Bullets come into the non-league contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Knoxville dropped by Princeville (Princeville, IL), 62-35, in a league contest.
