The Gretna East Griffins (Gretna, NE) basketball crushed the host Northwest Vikings (Grand Island, NE), 58-26 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Griffins now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Pius X for a non-league bout on Thursday, December 12. Gretna East will play a Thunderbolts team coming off a 65-21 non-league win over Blue Springs South (Blue Springs, MO). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Northwest falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Crete (Crete, NE) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Friday, December 13. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 1-1.
