River Valley Panthers (Blairsville, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting West Shamokin Wolves (Rural Valley, PA), 57-28 in a league bout.

With the victory, River Valley upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Purchase Line (Commodore, PA) to play the Red Dragons in a Heritage bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Red Dragons come into the bout with a record of 1-4. Purchase Line lost 38-27 in their recent non-league bout against Tussey Mountain (Saxton, PA)

Next up, the Wolves play the Penns Manor Comets (Clymer, PA) in a Heritage bout, on Tuesday, December 13. West Shamokin will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Comets come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 58-44 non-league win over Berlin Brothersvalley (Berlin, PA).
