Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the River Valley Panthers (Blairsville, PA) and the host West Shamokin Wolves (Rural Valley, PA), saw River Valley's basketball squad wallop West Shamokin by a tally of 58-21.

With the victory, River Valley improves its record to 18-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to United (Armagh, PA) to confront the Lions in a Heritage challenge on Saturday, February 4. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 15-5. United won 72-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Central Cambria (Ebensburg, PA)

Next up, the Wolves confront the Moniteau Warriors (West Sunbury, PA) in a Keystone Shortway - South challenge, on Saturday, February 4. West Shamokin will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 15-3 record after their 69-37 league win over Cranberry Area (Seneca, PA).
