Baker Spartans (Baker, MT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Custer County Cowboys (Miles City, MT), 49-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Baker upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Powder River County (Broadus, MT) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 2-2.

Next up, the Cowboys play the Laurel Locomotives (Laurel, MT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. Custer County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Locomotives go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 49-47 non-league win over Dawson County (Glendive, MT).
