In Friday's league match, the visiting Byers Lions basketball team scored a good 57-45 triumph over the Pine Grove Panthers.
In their next game, the Lions meet the Ashland Blue Devils (Ashland, MS) in a 1A Region 2 match, on Tuesday, December 12. Byers will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record. The Blue Devils enter the match with a 2-4 record after their 67-47 non-league loss to Hickory Flat (Hickory Flat, MS).
