Minnesota High School Basketball - Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop knocked off by Sleepy Eye

The Sleepy Eye Indians basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds to 57 in the Indians league triumph on Friday.
The Indians now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Mary's for a A Section 2 contest on Tuesday, December 12. Sleepy Eye will meet a Knights team coming off a 79-68 non-league win over Red Rock Central (Lamberton, MN). The Knights record now stands at 4-0.
The Thunderbirds (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Cedar Mountain (Morgan, MN). The Cougars enter the A Section 2 contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Cedar Mountain lost by Springfield (Springfield, MN), 72-63, in a league match.
