Powell Panthers (Powell, TN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Halls Red Devils (Knoxville, TN), 55-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Powell upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Panthers travel to Halls (Halls, TN) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Halls won 87-78 in their recent non-league bout against Seymour (Seymour, TN)

Next up, the Red Devils clash with the Heritage Mountaineers (Maryville, TN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Halls will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Mountaineers go into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 73-53 non-league loss to William Blount (Maryville, TN).
