The Quitman County Hornets basketball team (Georgetown, GA), was overwhelmed 63-24 in Friday's league battle with the host Mitchell County Eagles (Camilla, GA)

The Eagles now possess a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calhoun County for a A D2 Region 1 battle on Saturday, December 9. Mitchell County will battle a Cougars team coming off a 72-49 league win over Early County (Blakely, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-0.

The Hornets (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against Early County (Blakely, GA). The Bobcats come into the A D2 Region 1 battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Early County was overwhelmed by Calhoun County (Edison, GA), 72-49, in a league battle.
