Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles (Washington, DC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Washington Waldorf (Bethesda, MD), 53-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Model Secondary School for the Deaf upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Smith Jewish Day School (Rockville, MD) to play the Lions in a Potomac Valley bout on Wednesday, December 13. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 2-3. Smith Jewish Day School lost 65-52 in their recent league bout against Sandy Spring Friends (Sandy Spring, MD)

Next up, the play the Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests (Sandy Spring, MD) in a Potomac Valley bout, on Monday, December 11. Washington Waldorf will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Wildebeests come into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 61-60 non-league win over Potomac School (McLean, VA).
