Texas High School Basketball - United South topped by Veterans Memorial

The Veterans Memorial Patriots basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting United South Panthers to 45 in the Patriots non-league victory on Friday.

The Patriots now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cornerstone Christian for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 9. Veterans Memorial will battle a Warriors team coming off a 53-52 non-league loss to Victoria West (Victoria, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 8-7.

The Panthers (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against Southwest Legacy (Von Ormy, TX). The Titans come into the non-league contest with a 5-11 record. In their last contest, Southwest Legacy was defeated by Tivy (Kerrville, TX), 69-63, in a non-league contest.
