    The Clinch County Panthers (Homerville, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Cook Hornets (Adel, GA), 52-38 in Friday's non-league test.

    The Panthers (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Brantley County (Nahunta, GA). The Herons go into the non-league test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, Brantley County went down by Wayne County (Jesup, GA), 40-32, in a non-league test.

    The Hornets now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Irwin County for a non-league test on Saturday, December 9. Cook will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 39-29 non-league loss to Lanier County (Lakeland, GA). The Indians record now stands at 0-3.
