Ider Hornets (Ider, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Section Lions (Section, AL), 52-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Ider upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Hornets travel to North Sand Mountain (Higdon, AL) to play the Bison in a 2A Area 15 bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Bison go into the bout with a record of 9-2. North Sand Mountain won 69-62 in their recent league bout against Pisgah (Pisgah, AL)

Next up, the Lions play the Pisgah Eagles (Pisgah, AL) in a 2A Area 15 bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Section will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 69-62 league loss to North Sand Mountain (Higdon, AL).
