The Mescalero Apache Chiefs basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Alamo Navajo Cougars to 51 in the Chiefs non-league triumph on Friday.
The Chiefs now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Sumner/House for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 10. Mescalero Apache will meet a team coming off a 89-46 non-league win over Jal (Jal, NM). The record now stands at 5-1.
The Cougars (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Jal (Jal, NM). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Jal was nudged by Fort Sumner/House (Fort Sumner, NM), 89-46, in a non-league contest.
