Red River Roughriders (Grand Forks, ND) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Fargo North Spartans (Fargo, ND), 77-65 in a league bout.

With the win, Red River upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Roughriders travel to Grand Forks Central (Grand Forks, ND) to clash with the Knights in a A East bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Grand Forks Central lost 71-64 in their recent league bout against Fargo South (Fargo, ND)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Wahpeton Huskies (Wahpeton, ND) in a A East bout, on Friday, December 16. Fargo North will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 66-46 league win over Valley City (Valley City, ND).
