The Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats (Manning, SC) basketball nipped the visiting Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders (Columbia, SC), 51-49 in Friday's non-league test.

The Swampcats (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Orangeburg Prep (Orangeburg, SC). The Indians go into the non-league test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Orangeburg Prep was tipped by Florence Christian (Florence, SC), 63-33, in a non-league test.

The Highlanders now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Pinewood Prep for a non-league test on Saturday, December 10. Heathwood Hall Episcopal will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 79-58 non-league loss to Augusta Christian (Martinez, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 8-4.
