The Lincoln Academy Eagles (Newcastle, ME) basketball knocked off the visiting Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME), 55-47 in Friday's league test.
The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Oceanside (Rockland, ME). The Mariners go into the B South test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Oceanside notched a victory over Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME), 64-59, in a league test.
The Hornets now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Medomak Valley for a B South test on Tuesday, December 13. Leavitt will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 64-59 league loss to Oceanside (Rockland, ME). The Panthers record now stands at 1-1.
