Lewiston Blue Devils (Lewiston, ME) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Portland Bulldogs (Portland, ME), 56-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Lewiston upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to Oxford Hills (South Paris, ME) to play the Vikings in a AA North bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Oxford Hills won 58-40 in their recent league bout against Edward Little (Auburn, ME)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Bonny Eagle Scots (Standish, ME) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Portland will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Scots go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 60-49 non-league win over Deering (Portland, ME).
