South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 48-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Stokes upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Sauras host Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC) to clash with the Granite Bears in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Granite Bears go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Trojans clash with the North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Alleghany will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 61-35 non-league loss to East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC).
