In Saturday's non-league outing, the Sweetwater Mustangs (Sweetwater, TX) basketball squad beat the visiting Boyd Yellowjackets (Boyd, TX), by a count of 74-56.

The Mustangs (7-7) will now prepare for their outing against Christoval (Christoval, TX). The Cougars go into the non-league outing with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, Christoval was topped by Irion County (Mertzon, TX), 50-42, in a non-league outing.

The Yellowjackets now hold a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Alvord for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 12. Boyd will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 51-48 non-league win over Bob Hope (Port Arthur, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-3.
