In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Sumter Gamecocks basketball team scored a tight 45-44 triumph over the Lakewood Gators.
In their next game, the Gamecocks meet the Lugoff-Elgin Demons (Lugoff, SC) in a non-league match, on Monday, December 11. Sumter will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Demons enter the match with a 3-4 record after their 62-58 non-league win over Camden (Camden, SC).
With the defeat, Lakewood moves to 1-6 on the year. The Gators travel to Dreher (Columbia, SC) to meet the Blue Devils in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 12. The Blue Devils enter the match with a record of 4-3. Dreher won 61-48 in their recent non-league match against Dutch Fork (Irmo, SC)
