The Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC), 58-43 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Bulldogs (13-8) will now prepare for their test against Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Wildcats go into the 1A Conference 43 - Big test with a 13-9 record. In their last test, Andrews went down by Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC), 51-47, in a league test.
The Highlanders now own a 4-14 record. They play next when they travel to Hiwassee Dam for a 1A Conference 43 - Little test on Friday, February 3. Highlands will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 76-44 non-league loss to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 9-11.
