California High School Basketball - Oakmont overwhelmed by Ponderosa

February 1, 2023: Shingle Springs, CA 95682

The Ponderosa Bruins basketball team scored 76 points and restricted the visiting Oakmont Vikings to 47 in the Bruins league victory on Wednesday.

The Bruins now sport a 17-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Park for a Foothill Valley contest on Friday, February 3. Ponderosa will battle a Panthers team coming off a 48-39 league win over Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 18-5.

The Vikings (5-19) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln (Lincoln, CA). The Fighting Zebras come into the Foothill Valley contest with a 18-7 record. In their last contest, Lincoln was routed by Placer (Auburn, CA), 71-59, in a league contest.
