New York High School Basketball - Minisink Valley thwarts Port Jervis

The Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY) basketball knocked off the host Port Jervis Raiders (Port Jervis, NY), 44-24 in Wednesday's league test.
The Warriors (3-5) will now prepare for their test against Beacon (Beacon, NY). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Beacon went down by Goshen Central (Goshen, NY), 38-26, in a non-league test.
The Raiders now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Cornwall Central for a Section 9 Orange County III test on Friday, February 3. Port Jervis will encounter a Dragons squad coming off a 42-22 league win over Monticello (Monticello, NY). The Dragons record now stands at 7-7.
