Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Port Jervis Raiders (Port Jervis, NY), 31-28 in a league bout.

With the victory, Minisink Valley upgrades its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Goshen Central (Goshen, NY) to play the Gladiators in a Section 9 Orange County III bout on Thursday, February 16. The Gladiators come into the bout with a record of 10-6. Goshen Central lost 46-40 in their recent non-league bout against Marlboro Central (Marlboro, NY)

Next up, the Raiders play the Monticello Panthers (Monticello, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County III bout, on Thursday, February 16. Port Jervis will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 39-33 non-league win over Webutuck (Amenia, NY).
