Alsea Wolverines (Alsea, OR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mohawk Mustangs (Marcola, OR), 56-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Alsea upgrades its record to 2-18 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Eddyville (Eddyville, OR) to play the Eagles in a 1A Mountain West bout on Saturday, February 3. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 6-13. Eddyville lost 34-26 in their recent league bout against Crow/City First Christian Academy (Eugene, OR)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Siletz Valley (Siletz, OR) in a 1A Mountain West bout, on Saturday, February 3. Mohawk will attempt to upgrade on its 3-18 season record. The go into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 37-33 league win over McKenzie (Finn Rock, OR).
