The Del Oro Sun basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Mira Monte Lions to 50 in the Sun league triumph on Thursday.

The Sun now sport a 6-21 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 6. Del Oro will battle a Spartans team coming off a 64-31 league win over East Bakersfield (Bakersfield, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 14-11.

The Lions (12-13) will now prepare for their contest against Arvin (Arvin, CA). The Bears enter the South Yosemite - Horizon contest with a 12-14 record. In their last contest, Arvin ran past Foothill (Bakersfield, CA), 58-54, in a league contest.
