In Thursday's league match, the visiting Taos Tigers basketball team scored a tight 59-53 triumph over the Moriarty Pintos.
In their next game, the Tigers meet the Los Alamos Hilltoppers (Los Alamos, NM) in a 4A District 2 game, on Saturday, February 3. Taos will attempt to move on its 8-12 season record. The Hilltoppers enter the game with a 6-13 record after their 54-45 league loss to Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM).
With the defeat, Moriarty moves to 5-11 on the year. The Pintos host Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM) to face the Elks/Elkettes in a 4A District 2 game on Saturday, February 3. The Elks/Elkettes enter the game with a record of 10-10. Pojoaque Valley lost 81-56 in their recent non-league game against Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM)
