Taos Tigers (Taos, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Moriarty Pintos (Moriarty, NM), 43-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Taos upgrades its record to 12-12 on the season. The Tigers host Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM) to play the Hilltoppers in a 4A District 2 bout on Tuesday, February 20. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a record of 9-14. Los Alamos won 54-53 in their recent league bout against Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM)

Next up, the Pintos play the Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM) in a 4A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, February 20. Moriarty will attempt to upgrade on its 6-15 season record. The Elks/Elkettes go into the bout with a 10-14 record after their 49-43 league loss to Taos (Taos, NM).
