Corry Beavers (Corry, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Oil City Oilers (Oil City, PA), 47-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Corry upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Beavers host Franklin (Franklin, PA) to play the Knights in a District 10 Region 5 bout on Thursday, February 15. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 11-7.

Next up, the Oilers play the Warren Dragons (Warren, PA) in a District 10 Region 5 game, on Monday, February 5. Oil City will attempt to move on its 6-10 season record. The Dragons enter the game with a 14-5 record after their 60-41 non-league win over DuBois (DuBois, PA).
