The Fairfax Stampede basketball team (Laveen, AZ), was overwhelmed 69-38 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting McClintock Chargers (Tempe, AZ)
The Chargers now possess a 18-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Mountain for a 5A Metro battle on Friday, February 2. McClintock will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 46-34 league win over Metro Tech (Phoenix, AZ). The Jaguars record now stands at 14-9.
The Stampede (13-10) will now prepare for their battle against Central (Phoenix, AZ). The Bobcats come into the 5A Metro battle with a 10-15 record. In their last battle, Central was overwhelmed by Centennial (Peoria, AZ), 50-39, in a non-league battle.
