Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Overhills Jaguars (Spring Lake, NC) and the visiting Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC), saw Overhills's basketball squad wallop Lee County by a tally of 63-38.

With the victory, Overhills improves its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Western Harnett (Lillington, NC) to confront the Eagles in a 3A/4A All-American challenge on Friday, February 2. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 3-13. Western Harnett lost 52-12 in their recent league challenge against Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC)

Next up, the Yellow Jackets confront the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) in a 3A/4A Sandhills challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Lee County will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 6-12 record after their 54-11 league win over Southern Lee (Sanford, NC).
