The Moline Maroons basketball team (Moline, IL), was nudged 57-52 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL)

The Rocks now possess a 9-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Galesburg for a Western Big 6 battle on Saturday, February 3. Rock Island will confront a Silver Streaks team coming off a 42-36 league win over Geneseo (Geneseo, IL). The Silver Streaks record now stands at 23-5.

The Maroons (5-20) will now prepare for their battle against Sterling (Sterling, IL). The Golden Warriors come into the Western Big 6 battle with a 12-15 record. In their last battle, Sterling was nudged by East Moline United (East Moline, IL), 44-29, in a league battle.
